About Us

David Smith, PharmD purchased A & O Clinic Pharmacy in December of 2003 and opened A & O Specialty Pharmacy in March of 2006.  He has 29 years of experience including 15 years with Longs Drugs and 7 years at Tom’s Medical Clinic Pharmacy in Santa Cruz.  David is a member of PCCA, Pharmacy Compounding Centers of America, and has specialized training in both compounding and sterile compounding.

Pharmacist Smith has been actively involved in his profession having served as President of the TriCounty Pharmacists Association and on the Board of Trustees for the California Pharmacists Association.  Currently, he is preceptor for the University of the Pacific, School of Pharmacy and is on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for Central Coast Alliance for Health. He is also a member of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists.
